Fatima Llumiluisa

Biography

Fatima Llumiluisa brings both professional skill and personal understanding to every client she serves — she knows firsthand what it means to navigate the immigration system, and that experience shapes the care she brings to her work each day.

As a paralegal at Luqman Law since August 2024, Fatima is often the first point of contact for clients. She conducts client intakes, reviews case information, prepares and files immigration forms, organizes case documents, and maintains consistent communication between clients and attorneys. She also monitors case statuses to ensure clients are never left without answers, and participates in internal meetings to stay current with regulatory changes and firm processes.

Fatima holds a degree in Law and International Relations from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Quito, Ecuador (2022). Her academic background in international law gave her a strong foundation in the legal frameworks that shape immigration policy, and her interest in the field has only deepened through hands-on work.

Fatima is fluent in both Spanish and English, a significant asset for the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients who benefit from clear, comfortable communication throughout their cases.

In the community, Fatima serves as a volunteer tutor with the Literacy Council of Frederick and supports immigration translation services at AMICA Center in Washington, D.C. — work that keeps her closely connected to the communities Luqman Law serves.

Having gone through the immigration process herself, Fatima understands the weight of uncertainty that clients carry and the importance of feeling guided rather than lost. Outside the office, she enjoys discovering new foods, exploring new places, attending community events and festivals, reading, and spending time with her dog.
